The Chinese goat herder's ongoing observation of his goats led to him noticing the regular promiscuous behaviour of his herd and the name 'Horny Goat Weed' was born.

It is widely and safely sold as a health supplement and recognised aphrodisiac more often as the raw herb itself, a tablet or in capsules.
